Twenty states will implement some type of increase in the pay of minimum wage workers effective January 1, 2021. For example, the California minimum wage will increase from $13 to $14 an hour for employers that have over 26 workers. In contrast, Minnesota will increase the hourly minimum wage by 8 cents to $10.08 per hour for large employers.
