The attention on college affordability is indeed merited. It is a top issue for many young Americans saddled with student debt.
As a new school year begins we are left to wonder the same question from generations ago, should the cost of college be on society or the individual. I have not been shy about my brief the greater good would come from the academic medium be shared by all. Everyone benefits from a well-education society. The question of who bears the financial responsibility is a never ending question. My personal brief, the US could start be offering a two-year degree free to anyone with the will and desire the opportunity to far their career at a local community college.
